HEALTH AND FITNESS CLUBS

LA Fitness, Mission Viejo, CA – Health Club/Fitness
Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer. Performed mechanical and plumbing engineering services for a compete remodel of a recreation/fitness building, which included a fitness and gym areas, aerobics rooms, handball courts, indoor swimming pool, basketball court and restroom/locker rooms. Engineering services included providing packaged HVAC systems; supply and return air distribution systems; and complete plumbing gas systems

MILITARY

P-864 MALS 24 Aircraft Maintenance Expansion, Kaneohe Marine Corp Base, Hawaii
Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer. Performed engineering for complete HVAC and Plumbing systems for new construction maintenance facility and associated storage building. The HVAC system designed is a chilled water system with a dedicated outside air unit and a VAV air handler system. Plumbing systems provided are standard waste, water, and vent system with solar heating and compressed air systems. Responsibilities also included engineering management, coordination and design, and construction administration. LEED Silver project with a 34% energy reduction goal.

AMARG Hangar, Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, AZ.*
Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer. Performed engineering for complete HVAC and Plumbing systems for new construction air craft hanger. The HVAC system designed is a chilled water and heating water VAV air handler system. The Hanger is provided with an Indirect Evaporative Cooling (IDEC) System with radiant heat. Plumbing systems provided are standard waste, water, and vent system with solar heating and compressed air systems. Responsibilities also included engineering management, coordination and design, and construction administration.

US Air Force. MSOC HVAC Retrofit, Misawa Air Base, Misawa, Japan*
Mechanical Engineer and Team Project Manager. Performed engineering for a complete HVAC replacement. MSOC is a one story, high security classified facility for military communications systems. The HVAC system designed is a chilled water and heating water VAV air handler system and chilled water CRAC systems. Responsibilities included onsite interface, engineering management, coordination and design.

US Air Force, TORII Controls Upgrade, Misawa Air Base, Misawa, Japan*
Mechanical Engineer and Team Project Manager. Performed engineering for a temperature controls system upgrade and HVAC system conversion to VAV. TORII is a two story general office facility. The HVAC system design is a chilled water and heating water air handler system that is to have a temperature controls upgrade and a conversion from constant volume to variable volume air distribution. Responsibilities included onsite interface, engineering management, coordination and design.

Army Corps of Engineers, Combined Energy and Water Master Plans – Multiple Army Installations across the US*
Energy consultant for the Army’s Combined Energy and Water Master Plan (CEWMP) effort, for multiple military bases across the US. The goal of the effort is to develop feasible strategies and action plans that will help each installation meet the robust list of federal mandates for energy and water use reduction including EPAct2005, Executive Order 13423 and Energy Independence & Security Act of 2007.
These master plans will be essential tools for each installation to identify strategies for which to seek the federal funding needed to achieve the various federal mandates.
Department of Navy, Water Front Headquarters Building, Apra Harbor, Naval Station Guam*
Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer. Performed engineering for a new construction project. Facility is a two story troop transport processing center. The HVAC system included a chilled water VAV air handler system. Plumbing system included standard plumbing systems with solar heating. Responsibilities included onsite NAVFAC interface, coordination and design. Systems were designed to LEED certification and EPAct 2005, Executive Order 13423 and Energy Independence & Security Act of 2007.energy compliance.

Department of Navy, III Marine Expedition Force Headquarters, Finegayan Naval Station, Guam*
Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer. Performed engineering for a new construction MILCON project. Facility is a five story command and control center. The HVAC system included a chilled water VAV air handler system. Plumbing system included standard plumbing systems with solar heating. Responsibilities included onsite NAVFAC interface, coordination and design. Systems will be designed to LEED certification and EPAct 2005, Executive Order 13423 and Energy Independence & Security Act of 2007 energy compliance. $150M.

Department of Navy, DD 1391 Preparation Efforts*
Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer. Performed planning and engineering on 18 separate preparation efforts for 1391’s for Navy and Marine facilities to be located on Guam. Included were Combat Logistics Company Facilities, Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters, Base Communications Center, Indoor Arms Range, and several other facility types. Responsibilities included NAVFAC interface, coordination and preliminary design. Systems will be designed to LEED certification and EPAct 2005, Executive Order 13423 and Energy Independence & Security Act of 2007 energy compliance.

Beale Air Force Base Medical/Dental Clinic, Marysville, CA*
Mechanical Engineer. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project. Performed mechanical and plumbing engineering services for a phased, complete building renovation and building addition, which included new hydronic piping systems, air handling units and terminal units.

GOVERNMENT

GSA, San Ysidro Land Port of Entry, San Ysidro, CA*
MEP&F Project Manager. Performed Engineering management responsibilities, including estimating fees and manpower projections. Managed the Engineering team, overseeing coordination and information distribution. Interfaced with the client GSA (General Services Administration) to ensure project goals were being met. San Ysidro Land Port of Entry (SYPOE) is the largest port of entry in the U.S. and is the largest project for GSA Region 9 (California) with a $415M construction cost. The project was a multi-phase redevelopment of the entire 28 acres site involving two phase demolition, relocation and rebuild of: North Bound Auto Inspection (primary and secondary), a new central plant, new primary inspection booths, pedestrian and administration buildings and a 300-space parking structure. Performed Bridging Document Design Services.

Porterville Residential and Protective Services Buildings, Porterville, CA*
Mechanical Engineer. State of California Correctional Facility project which included two new construction buildings. Performed mechanical and plumbing engineering services which included new VAV HVAC systems and plumbing systems.
